The journey of CD Projekt Red's eagerly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't been smooth. The game had a number of issues when it was first released that, at least on the console, prevented many gamers from playing it. As a result, CD Projekt Red was the target of numerous lawsuits, and the game was totally taken down from the PlayStation Store.
But despite these difficulties, the game's creator kept updating it. The next-gen update, also known as Version 1.5 for PC users, was released in February 2022. It included free DLC in addition to resolving a number of issues. Additionally, CD Projekt Red unveiled the Phantom Liberty expansion in September 2022 and published the Edgerunners update.
It's obvious that CD Projekt Red is committed to enhancing Cyberpunk 2077 and giving its gamers the greatest experience possible. And it appears that their efforts are having an impact because the game's user base experienced a growth spurt and it even earned Steam's Labor of Love award in January 2022.
But CD Projekt Red also revealed that a follow-up to the game, codenamed Orion, is in the works, adding to the excitement. We are excited to see what the developer has in store for us next because it is obvious that they have a bright future ahead of them.
