EVE Online players, get ready for an exciting year ahead! In 2023, CCP Games, the developers of EVE Online, have plans to release two expansions in Q2 and Q4. This comes after the success of the Uprising expansion, which saw a significant increase in player versus player (PvP) activity in both low and high-security spaces. In fact, there was a 75% increase in PvP kills in lowsec and an 11% increase in highsec. These changes have also had a positive effect on the game's economy, with navy ship production rising 14,709% and capital manufacturing seeing a 34% bump.

But that's not all EVE Online has in store for its 20th anniversary. In September, the annual Fanfest event will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland, celebrating two decades of this wildly successful space MMO. Since its launch in 2003, EVE Online has garnered a reputation for its player-powered economy and the unique stories that emerge from player interactions. From year-long plans to destroy a deadly fortress to elaborate assassination plots, EVE Online is known for its tales of tragedy and betrayal.

In addition to all of this, EVE Online fans can look forward to the closed beta release of the highly anticipated Microsoft Excel plugin. This plugin has almost become a joke among the EVE community, but it's not a joke – it's actually happening! With all of these updates and events on the horizon, it's clear that EVE Online is as strong as ever and showing no signs of slowing down.

So mark your calendars, EVE Online players, because 2023 is shaping up to be a great year for the game. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the EVE universe, there's something for everyone to look forward to. Here's to another 20 years of EVE Online and the endless possibilities it brings.
